  Ignore any advice on reformatting usb drives for Mac. Macs read and write FAT, just like PCs, and usb drives are FAT formatted when you buy them. It's the HDD on Macs and PCs that use different filesystems, and even then, they're compatible. And MacFUSE is handy for a lot of things, but NOT NEEDED to transfer files to your Mac from your PC.
