How to make companion wear armor in Skyrim?

  • Hi all. Is there a guide to make companion wear armor in Skyrim? I got Lydia as follower. Every time I give her an armor, she does not wear it. Could you guys tell me how can i make companion wear armor? Please give me a clear guide. So much appreciated!

    The armour you give her or any other companion has to be better than the one they are already using, so for instance: Giving Lydia Leather armour gives her a lower AC, than her regular armour, which you cannot see the stats on, so to be sure, you have to give her something that is Notably better than her own set, i would think Steel or such would suffice.
