How to keep facebook from hurting my relationship? Help please!!

Facebook is keeping hurting my relationship! my boy friend doesn't like me chatting on facebook, and when i go to facebook chat, he won't happy! i really don't want to hurt the relationship between us. but the facebook is really a good social networking, and i do nothing bad on it! How to keep facebook from hurting my relationship? Help please!!
