How to understand pay rate or amount of money per hour?

i need to know how to understand pay rate or amount of money per hour? I went for a job interview and landed it as an Stna. They said since i wont be getting a lot of hours, they pay me a little more. They said they will pay 12.52. so if they said 12.50 an hour i would be like wow, thats good, but is 1252 like a pay rate or she probably just mean 12.50. i don't know how to understand it. any tips?
