Lion image capture 6.1 not creating Multiple Files?

Image capture 6.1 on Mac os x Lion doesn’t create Multiple Files. Why? I cannot scan multiplate pages to individual PDF files after upgrading to Mac os x Lion. The application has a checkbox labeled "Combine into single document". I assume that when left un-checked, it would create a separate document for each page. Instead, it scans each page to "Scan.pdf" and keeps overwriting the same file. Are there some ways to fix Lion image capture 6.1 not creating Multiple Files issue? Thanks!
